Make Art That Sells (MATS) Manager

  • Are you looking for an inspiring role that will allow you to help creative people succeed in the art industry?
  • Are you a proven manager, who can juggle all the moving parts of a project and gets the best out of others?
  • Are you a data lover, who excels at analysing social media, newsletter and website statistics to help your team perform better?
  • Are you positive, self-motivated, service-minded and super-organized?
  • Would you like a flexible role in a friendly and creative team?

We’re hiring! Since launching in 2013 Make Art That Sells has rapidly gained a reputation as the go-to course for anyone serious about making commercially viable art whilst staying true to themselves, and now we’re looking for a positive, enthusiastic and highly organised full-time MATS Manager to join our friendly team.

You’ll have overall responsibility for the Make Art That Sells online school, contributing directly to the growth of our audience and sales, overseeing the rollout of new courses, our website, our promotional strategy and more, as well as working with our team on a host of behind-the-scenes tasks.

This is a rare opportunity to be a leader within the Make Art That Sells (MATS) team, one of the world’s leading online educational experiences for artists wanting to make their work more commercially viable. Our much-loved MATS Manager Jitna Bhagani is leaving us after several years in post, to pursue her passion of running a social enterprise. We provide industry insight into the top ten hottest markets for art, and show artists exactly what they need to do in order to license and sell their work to clients all over the world. And we are looking for a Manager to be the hub and heartbeat of our team, working directly with MATS Co-Founders Lilla Rogers and Beth Kempton.

Some important notes:

  • This is a full-time UK-based position. You will need permission to work in the UK and we are unfortunately unable to support visas or relocation.
  • The successful candidate will be based remotely with most communication by Zoom and email, with occasional in-person meet-ups.
  • This is a managerial position not a design position (but you will be working on a creative project with a creative team so it will be super inspiring!)

What we need from you:

  • Fluency in social media essential, and some experience of WordPress would be a bonus
  • Ideally you would have experience of online marketing, email marketing systems such as Campaign Monitor and Facebook/Instagram ads
  • A can-do attitude and high standards for your work
  • A team player who can work independently
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills, particularly written
  • Well-organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • UK-based. This is a remote working position and you should have a good internet connection and an established home office.

What we can offer:
